CUTTING

Our computer controlled cutting system comes with over 2,000 pre-programed shapes. However, any design can be achieved if clients provide the relevant files. For speed and precision, pneumatic tilting arms load and unload the glass while an air cushion blower system moves the glass sheet on the felt surface. The service can be applied to glass of a thickness of 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 19 and 25 mm.

BEVELING

Beveling adds a sense of depth to the glass and is often used for ornate applications. Beveled edges have a shiny or glossy finish. The chamfered surface area ranges from 8 to 38 mm. The service can be applied to glass of a thickness of 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 19 and 25 mm.

SANDBLASTING

Sandblasted glass is produced by spraying sand at high velocities over the surface of the glass. This gives the glass a translucent surface, which is usually rougher than that obtained by etching. The depth and degree of the translucency of the finish vary with the force and type of sand used. Patterns and designs can be created using a mask which resists the abrasive force of the grit from the sandblaster. The process can be applied to glass of thickness of 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 19 and 25 mm. The maximum size is 2,134 x 3,050 mm.

EDGING

finish. The chamfered surface area ranges from 3 to 5 mm. It can be applied to glass of a thickness of 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 19 and 25 mm. FGI provides single and double edging services.
